Another CSR activity. CREDITAS provided aid in support of Liga proti rakovině

Helping those in need is very important for the CREDITAS Group. All of the group companies support specific charitable projects. But it is not only the companies who are offering their support to disabled or socially disadvantaged people; the employees themselves are also involved on a regular basis.

One of the other CSR activities was the aid in support of Liga proti rakovině (League Against Cancer). This organisation was chosen by the employees through an internal vote. A cheque for CZK 100,000 was presented by the CREDITAS Group CEO, Jiří Hrouda, to the Chairwoman of the above organisation, Michaela Fridrichová.

Since 1990, Liga proti rakovině has aimed to reduce the death rates from malignant tumours in the Czech Republic. Its members include not only cancer patients and their family members but also citizens motivated by humanitarianism and medical personnel. Collective members comprise nearly 60 cancer patients’ organisations from all over the country.

“We are pleased that we can offer help where it is really needed. The entire society is affected by cancers, and the number of cancer patients is growing. No one should underestimate the importance of preventive screening. A malignant colon tumour, for example, grows slowly in most cases, which is one of the reasons why it can be detected early, at the precancerous stage, in most patients, thus saving lives,” says Lucie Brunclíková, Chief Communication Officer of the CREDITAS Group.
