November 13, 2024
Banka CREDITAS was ranked among the 100 most valuable companies in the Czech Republic by the prestigious national ranking, Czech Elite, with the bank placing in the top 50. This year's ranking was compiled by the news portal Seznam Zprávy in collaboration with the consulting company Deloitte.
Following its merger with Max banka, Banka CREDITAS has experienced ongoing growth, now boasting 260,000 clients and a balance sheet total of nearly CZK 200 billion. This has been confirmed by the company ranking among the 100 most valuable companies owned by Czech owners, based on estimated market value. This year’s rankings show the combined value of all companies has reached three trillion Czech crowns, a one-third increase from the initial year. The increase is primarily due to a change in methodology that factored in the foreign holdings of all companies.
The rankings are determined using standard business valuation methods, analyzing publicly available financial statements, and conducting hundreds of interviews with business owners and managers. This is the first systematic comparison that goes beyond partial metrics, such as sales and profits, instead assessing the true economic strength of companies. According to its authors, the ranking aims to highlight that despite the high proportion of foreign investment in the domestic economy, Czech-owned companies are the backbone, generating significant value and employment.
