EkoRent increases its profit by a third and expands its portfolio

March 19, 2024

The credit company EkoRent from the portfolio of Bank CREDITAS is now extending its credit services for private practices to all other healthcare sectors. It wants to target mainly general practitioners, whereas until now it has mostly specialised in dentists. Furthermore, 2023 was a very successful year for EkoRent. Its net profit exceeded CZK 13.5 million, a year-on-year increase of 30 per cent. It is currently the strongest player in the financing of private healthcare facilities in the Czech Republic.

Now, we want to focus on all specialties in private healthcare, i.e. all types of outpatient clinics, including gynaecology, cardiology, pulmonary clinics or gastroenterology. We see great potential in general practitioners. In surveys concerning the shortage of doctors in the Czech Republic, besides dentists, it is the general practitioners who rank first,” explains Petr Harcuba, managing director of EkoRent.

EkoRent assists interested parties with the purchase of established practices, financing renovations, instrumentation, as well as real estate and company cars. Both established doctors and starting practitioners can make use of its services. “We offer clients a complete package for purchasing, renovating and equipping their practices. We will help them build their own surgeries so that it is the least burdensome for them” says Petr Harcuba and continues: “Our goal is to be a partner to physicians and aim to make financing the easiest part of the whole process of building their own practice.”

EkoRent has been operating on the market for over 30 years and has been a subsidiary of Bank CREDITAS since mid-2021. Over seventy percent of their clientele are dental practices. EkoRent continues to expand. It recently purchased the Medical Centre from J&T Leasingová společnost a.s. After the acquisition, the company currently manages over 2,200 loan and lease agreements, which is a year-on-year increase of more than 45 percent.
